Its missions : research, analysis and proposals on any issues concerning the profession, at national and international levels; Member information service; Public relations to enhance public perception of banks and the part they play in the economy.

The FBF offers alternative proposals for more realistic accounting standards
The FBF has noted the lack of progress in the global reform of accounting standard requested by the G20. The proposals made in recent weeks by the US and international standards boards fail to meet the objectives of financial stability and convergence set forth by the heads of State and government.

Bank tax The IMF's proposals are unsatisfactory
The French Banking Federation (FBF) believes that the proposals for new bank taxes contained in the IMF’s report would do nothing to ensure the stability of the international financial system as they would not enable crises to be prevented.
