The French Banking Federation publishes The banking sector in 2016

This report presents the French banking industry, with key figures and highlights of 2016.

2016 was a good year for the French banking industry. Bank results were good, as well as the banking industry’s image which, with 68% of people surveyed having a good opinion, was at its best in 10 years. The strength of our industry is an asset in the face of the challenges that must be met: regulatory challenges with the work of the Basel Committee, uncertainty over the future of the European Union following the Brexit vote, an unprecedented economic and interest rate environment, and the increasingly fast pace of digital transformation.
