What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your hard drive when you visit a website or consult an advertisement. They are notably used to gather information on your website browsing patterns and to target you with personalised services. Cookies are managed in your computer by your Internet browser. Cookies do not have the ability to identify you as such.
Different types of cookies and issuers
It is important to distinguish between the cookies placed on your hard drive by the FBF for the purpose of browsing our website and third-party cookies, which are placed by third-party companies (e.g. advertising networks or partners).
Functional cookies
The FBF uses cookies for the purpose of operating its website. Some cookies are known as tracker cookies as they enable the website to identify your browser in order to save your account connection information and preferences.
Analytical cookies
This information is collected to measure audiences and other statistics, with a view to improving the quality of FBF tools, detecting potential problems, and proposing new content. The FBF does not control cookies that may be placed on your hard drive by our Google Analytics tool, which is maintained by the company Google. Click here to understand how traffic analysis cookies work.
Social network cookies
Web pages containing social network buttons allow social networks to place trackers in order to analyse your interests. The FBF does not control the cookies that may be deposited by social networks and recommends that you visit the various platforms to find out how the information recorded via the presence of these buttons is used. The social networks concerned are: Facebook and Twitter
