Olivier Mittelette, 47, began his career as a lawyer at the law firm Price Waterhouse Juridique et Fiscal (now Landwell & Associés), working on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and IPOs. In 2000, he moved to Société Générale as a legal adviser specialising in financial markets, where he was responsible for a range of regulatory issues relating to regulated market activities, asset management and financing transactions within the various Group departments and entities.
In 2014, Olivier Mittelette joined the FBF as a legal specialist within the Investment Banking and Markets Department. Since then, he has worked on major long-term regulatory projects for the banking sector, such as the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) on derivatives and the Capital Markets Union (including a number of its related reform projects, notably on the prospectus regime and securitisation), as well as being involved in the ongoing discussions over Brexit.
