Olivier Mittelette appointed Head of Investment Banking and Markets at the French Banking Federation
The French Banking Federation (FBF) has announced the appointment of Olivier Mittelette as Head of the Investment Banking and Markets Department.
Olivier Mittelette, 47, began his career as a lawyer at the law firm Price Waterhouse Juridique et Fiscal (now Landwell & Associés), working on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring and IPOs. In 2000, he moved to Société Générale as a legal adviser specialising in financial markets, where he was responsible for a range of regulatory issues relating to regulated market activities, asset management and financing transactions within the various Group departments and entities.
In 2014, Olivier Mittelette joined the FBF as a legal specialist within the Investment Banking and Markets Department. Since then, he has worked on major long-term regulatory projects for the banking sector, such as the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) on derivatives and the Capital Markets Union (including a number of its related reform projects, notably on the prospectus regime and securitisation), as well as being involved in the ongoing discussions over Brexit.
